Gothic Glory

It’s almost that time of year again where children will come a knocking adorned in all sorts of scary paraphanelia and pumpkins will be used to deck the halls. Yes folks, as I’m sure you are well aware, next week is Halloween. To mark the occasion we are delighted to showcase a collaborative styled shoot, photographed in a stunning, (all be it crumbling ) area of  Cusworth Hall in Doncaster. When we shared that the shoot was to be gothic inspired there were murmors of ‘ is that romantic or wedding themed in any way?’ Well actually it was both. Think gothic in all it’s dreamy seductive glory, and with a red hot beauty like Lucy Woodroffe on the team, and the very talented Sarah Folega leading the pack, this shoot was always going to be pretty amazing.

Our clients very rarely ask for black wedding invitations but we think with the right typography and shot through with white and gold elements, this palette can be so effective. We softened the black by adding a wood effect to the card and used gold motifs to compliment the package. We would love to create a suite like this for a bride and groom who dare to go bold.

The stunning floral displays and bouquet were lovingly created by Lauretta at Boutique Paeony.

Lucy looked beautiful with striking make up by Sarah Gray and sleek tresses by Wedding Hair by Hannah.

I have never attended a wedding where the bride wore black, nor have I been seated in a derelict manor house for the ceremony. Having taken part in this shoot, I now want to see both…..

We are thrilled that this shoot is now appearing in all its glory over on
